Regular price $257.40 Save $-257.40The Gamblin Introductory Set of 9 Artists' Oil Colours is intended to give painters a thoughtfully constructed palette of colours to support any style of painting. The set also includes a primed, ready to use painting panel handcrafted in the US from sustainably grown birch. The cradled panel measures 12.25 in x 6.5 in x 1.75 in.
Paints included: Titanium White, Ivory Black, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Viridian, Ultramarine Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Red Light, Cadmium Yellow Light.
Gamblin Artists’ Oil paints are made with the finest grades of pigments available and are completely non-toxic. Most of the oils in the range are made with alkali-refined linseed oil binder and the others with a safflower oil binder. Compared with cold press linseed oil (a traditional oil paint binder), alkali-refined linseed oil yellows significantly less whilst also creating a strong, flexible paint film. Not only are both the vegetable oils used in Gamblin Artists’ Oils completely non-toxic, but they are commonly used in health and beauty products, so their safety for use in paints is of no concern.
No solvents are needed to paint with Gamblin Artists’ Oil Colours; they can be thinned with small amounts of Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil. Brushes dirty with the oils can be cleaned by simply wiping away excess paint, working with a little Gamblin Refined Linseed Oil, and then rinsing with a brush cleaner or water and soap.

For most orders shipping dimensions, weights and conditions meet the pre-requisites of our preferred logistics supplier, Australia Post and charges for either Parcel or Express Post options will be displayed. Other road freight options will be displayed for your selection and convenience.

Also due to the dimension and weight conditions of these products, surcharges are often applied separately by the freight companies that make it impossible to calculate correct and final shipping charges online. 3. Our goal is to provide cost-effective and reliable shipping of these oversize, bulky or ‘dangerous goods’ products, for both our customers and Parkers Sydney Fine Art Supplies. The method we use, detailed in 3a., has proven to be the most effective way to address the conditional issues applied to shipping charges for these products purchased online.
- a. Shipping charges applied at checkout for these product classifications are deemed ‘an estimated initial payment subject to amendment’ and will not be considered a finalised or agreed amount. This amount may be increased or decreased depending on a direct quotation from the freight company.
- b. Shipping for these products is handled on a case-by-case basis, separate to checkout calculations. We will contact the customer by phone with an accurate, at-cost, shipping charge, less the amount you have paid at checkout. Sometimes there is even a credit as the initial payment is a flat amount based on average destination charges! Please contact us directly if you wish to get an accurate quotation immediately.
- c. Any extra amounts or credit amounts will be finalised before the goods are shipped.
CLICK AND COLLECT SHIPPING OPTION
Click and Collect is selectable as a shipping option and as no shipping charges are incurred by Parkers Sydney Fine Art Supplies, no charge is applied at checkout.
The Click and Collect option, as a free shipping option, is conditional upon the customer collecting the order directly from The Rocks store – 3 Cambridge Street – The Rocks – NSW – 2000, during standard business hours, once the customer has been advised the order is ready and compiled for collection.
If this option is selected as part of the checkout process and the customer cannot collect the order in person, the customer agrees that arrangements will be made for a paid shipping option to be applied to the order and paid, prior to the order being shipped.
Click and Collect orders must be collected by the purchaser of the order with proof identity provided at the time of collection. This is to avoid fraudulent online transactions.
PACKING OF FRAGILE ITEMS
Paper is a fragile product, and our goal is to ensure it arrives to you safely. Extra packing will be used to ship it safely and although we do not charge for this, there may be an increase in logistics charges. We recommend that you consider purchasing a minimum of 5 sheets or pack quantities to both save on purchase price and shipping charges.
We aim to ensure you receive your art supplies in good condition.
ORDER FULFILLMENT
Orders that include all in stock items, that are received prior to 1pm (Monday to Friday), will generally be processed and shipped the same day. At the time of shipping you will receive a confirmation of your order having been sent and a tracking link so you can check estimated delivery times and the status of your delivery at all times.
FULFILLMENT OF BACK ORDERS
Products may display as in stock online, however during the period of the order being received to our physical store, the item may have changed to a status of 'out of stock' due to sales crossover from instore purchases. On these occasions one of our staff members will contact you and offer to order the product in (Australian suppliers only) and ship the order complete, when the ordered product has arrived. This may delay shipping by up to 4-5 days. We can also arrange to remove the product from the order and ship the balance of the goods to you. At all times we will keep you informed and will be guided by your instructions.
Unfortunately we do not offer freight free shipping of back orders.
